Here are the new collections accessioned by the Special Collections Research Center from 11/8/2010 to 11/12/2010:

  • Tipton Family Papers (Mss. Acc. 2010.681): Letters, cards, and photographs, 1951-1957, of Doris and Charles W. Tipton. Letters are primarily written by Doris Tipton and describe her life as the wife of a US soldier who is stationed in Germany. Also included are pictures of Charles W. Tipton and a picture of their child.
  • Archer-Hickman Papers (Mss. Acc. 2010.682): Letters, 1909-1969, of the Archer, Hickman, Ward, and other families of Missouri.
  • Zuelma P. Martin Diary (Mss. Acc. 2010.683): Diary, 1946-1947, of a 68 year old maid in Seattle, Wash.
  • Ardith Pugh Papers (Mss. Acc. 2010.684): Papers, circa 1980s, relating to Ardith Pugh's service on the Commission on Wartime Relocation and Internment of Civilians, which was created to investigate the internment of Japanese-American citizens during World War II.  Includes photocopies of interviews, case files used during the internment procedures, and correspondence between government officials, all of which was used by the Comission in its deliberations.
  • Diaries (Pennsylvania) (Mss. Acc. 2010.686): The following description was provided by the seller and has not been verified: "Appears to be written by either a banker or accountant who had an office in Chester PA and also traveled on business to Philadelphia, New York, Wilmington, Haddonfield, etc. He was a member of the Asylum Board and worked on accounts for the Colored Institute. He was also a father with a young family and owned horses. He was active in civic affairs and was a church-goer. He vacationed with his family at Lake Mohawk, NY. Miniature tintypes of his sons are glued-in. Long detailed entries for almost every day of the week. The writing is neat and legible."
  • J.C.F. Groh Diary (Mss. Acc. 2010.687): Diary, 1897, of J.C.F. Groh of Breathedsville, Washington County, Maryland.  Contents include the weather, where he ate, and where he traveled, among other items.
  • Robb-Swem Correspondence (Acc. 2010.689): An addition to the Robb-Bernard Papers. Primarily letters, 1944-1964, written by Earl Gregg Swem to Robert Robb and Frances Robb.  Also contains clippings related to Earl Gregg Swem, a card from John Stewart Bryan, and an invitation to dinner from John Stewart Bryan.
  • The Tatler (Acc. 2010.691), part of the Williamsburg (Va.) Ephemera Collection (Mss. 1.09): Contains the October 2010 issue of The Tatler.
  • Warner Family Genealogy and Photographs (Mss. Acc. 2010.693): Contains a genealogical chart of the Warner family and modern pictures of Brainard Warner's house in Montgomery County, Maryland.
  • Yorktown Day Celebration, 2010, part of the Williamsburg (Va.) Ephemera Collection (Mss. 1.09).
