The Latest Exhibits for Your Viewing Pleasure

Rest your eyes from the printed page or the glare of the computer monitor and feast them on our newest exhibits from the Special Collections Research Center.

Just inside the front door is a case called Winter Holidays: Traditional and Pop Culture. Continuing that theme in the first-floor rotunda gallery past the Read & Relax area is the major exhibit Winter Holidays: A Celebration for Everyone. Here you’ll see items from the Nancy Marshall A Visit from Saint Nicholas Collection and from the Woodbridge-Weston Collection of Christmas Books as well as seasonal additions from the Chapin-Horowitz Collection of Cynogetica (dog books).

On the third floor rotunda gallery you’ll enjoy an exhibit which was curated by students in Professor Jennifer Putzi’s Gender and the American Diary class. Unlocking the Diary also features items from the Special Collections Research Center and seeks to unlock the mystery of the diary by demonstrating the multiple forms and uses of that medium in the United States. Also on the third floor, near the administrative offices, is an exhibit on Swem’s renovations and additions over the years.
