Brushing up on American photographer Eadweard Muybridge and Japanese painter Ando Hiroshige was the mission of 27 docents from Muscarelle Museum of Art when they visited Swem Library on Monday, November 9.
Muybridge and Hiroshige will be featured in forthcoming exhibits at the museum, and the docents, who give exhibit tours to Muscarelle visitors, wanted to learn how to find sources of information.
Swem Library Research Librarian Mary Molineux provided an introduction to searching the library’s catalog and databases for books, journal articles, and digitized images. The docents also received a brief tour that highlighted the print art books in the reference and general collections.
