Public academic research library deans from across the commonwealth will speak to faculty members, staff, and librarians about issues related to bundled journal packages, including concerns with the cost, equity and sustainability of these packages.
The community’s pandemic reflections will be on display in an exciting collaborative exhibition, Our Town: Williamsburg 2020 Community Art Project, made possible by a partnership between the Williamsburg Regional Library, William & Mary Libraries, Muscarelle Museum of Art, and local arts organization CultureFix VA.
As the fall semester grows close, staff members at William & Mary Libraries feel prepared to safely reopen and operate through the uncharted waters of a pandemic. Swem Library will open to students, faculty and staff for limited hours starting August 10th, and will require visitors to show a current W&M ID at the entrance.

Beginning in summer 2020, all Kanopy film titles will require a faculty request for access and approval by W&M Libraries.
W&M Libraries has partnered with the W&M Alumni Association to host virtual talks with alumni children’s authors. The new “Summer Story Time Series” features authors reading their books and answering questions from the audience.
As Americans make efforts to learn more about the social justice and racial equity issues that are front and center in the nation right now, William & Mary Libraries has joined other institutions around the country in providing resources for self-education.
