On January 18, 2021 our nation marks the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. On this day we honor his life and legacy as a civil rights leader. W&M Libraries provides access to a host of resources chronicling the life and legacy of Dr. King.
There is no doubt that the Williamsburg area is steeped in history. From the first permanent British settlement in the U.S. at Jamestown to the battlefield at Yorktown, and of course Colonial Williamsburg right next to the William & Mary campus, the area it is truly America’s Historic Triangle.
When people meet me, they often ask what I do, and when I give them my title, Digital Scholarship Librarian, they are just as unclear on my job duties as before they asked.
William & Mary Libraries is proud to bring back the Art+Feminism Wikipedia edit-a-thon on Tuesday, April 10 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday, April 11 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. during National Library Week.

Every summer, the Digital Humanities Summer Institute in Victoria brings together faculty, staff and students from the arts, humanities, library and archives communities as well as independent scholars and participants from areas beyond. Instruction & Research Librarian, Rachel Hogan, interviewed W&M faculty and grad students who attended the 2023 institute to learn about their experiences.
