Discounts on Article Publication Charges (APCs) for Open Access Journals

W&M Libraries and VIVA (a statewide collaboration) have negotiated several agreements for article publication charges (APCs) with a variety of publishers listed below. We also provide a library-sponsored OA publishing support fund for researchers who want to publish their work OA but did not receive external funding.

American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Varies To receive these savings, authors should submit their institution's AAAS number upon acceptance of their manuscript.
American Chemical Society (ACS) $250 off of APC, not including ACS Omega APCs; OA costs covered for primarily undergraduate institutions When authors submit their works through the ACS authorship system, they are prompted to respond whether they are affiliated with an "All Pubs" ACS institution.  Their responses are then vetted against the active ACS list.
