Sample blurb for general researchers interested in Jefferson:

"It was my great good fortune, and what probably fixed the destinies of my life, that Dr. William Small of Scotland was then professor of mathematics [at the College of William and Mary], a man profound in most of the useful branches of science, with a happy talent of communications, correct and gentlemanly manners, and an enlarged and liberal mind." --Thomas Jefferson, William and Mary Class of 1762

Jefferson however did not always have such positive things to say about the College. You will find that information in great detail in a number of books including Jefferson biographies, Books to use for College history research, and histories of the University of Virginia, which he is known as the "father" of.

You will find a bit of information about Jefferson at the College's website at http://www.wm.edu/about/jefferson/index.php. The Monticello website at http://www.monticello.org/reports/bibliography/biography.html includes a great deal of information including a list of books and videos about Jefferson.
