J. Wilfred Lambert

J. Wilfred Lambert (23 August 1906-11 May 1986) graduated from the College of William and Mary earning a BA in 1927 and later returned as an instructor in psychology. He was a popular teacher and administrator throughout his 50 year career at William and Mary. He received the Thomas Jefferson Award in 1973. He was awarded an honorary degree in 1981 at Commencement.

Lambert's appointments: Instructor of Psychology, 1930-1934; Dean of Freshmen, 1934-1938; Assistant Professor of Psychology, 1934-1949; Dean of Men, 1938-1945; Dean of Students, 1945-1969; Associate Professor of Psychology, 1949-1959; Registrar, 1949-1964; Professor of Psychology, 1959-1973; Vice President of Student Affairs, 1970-1973; Professor of Psychology, Emeritus, 1973; Vice President of Student Affairs, Emeritus, 1973; Director of Donor Research, 1975-c. 1980; Leaves of Absence: 1933-1934, 1943-December 1, 1945.
