Westmoreland Davis

Westmoreland Davis served as Governor of Virginia from 1918 to 1922. A farmer and a lawyer, he increased aid and funding to farming programs and state universities and colleges. Davis is perhaps best known for reforming and modernizing Virginia state government.

His portrait hangs in the Botetourt Gallery in Swem Library. A video tour of the gallery is available via YouTube.
