Charles Wyndham
Charles Wyndham, Earl of Egremont, served as a representative in Parliament on behalf of three different localites: Bridgewater (1735–1741), Appleby (1742–1747) and Taunton (1747–1750). In 1761, he succeeded William Pitt as Secretary of State for the Southern Department. He served as chancellor of the College of William and Mary from 1762 until his death in 1763.
