Thomas Sherlock

Thomas Sherlock served as the chancellor of the College of William and Mary from 1741 until 1761. During his life, he also served as the master of Saint Catharine's College at Cambridge (1714–1719), the Bishop of Bangor (1728–1734), the Bishop of Salisbury (1734–1748) and the Bishop of London (1748–1761).

Sherlock is also know for his writings. These include: The Use and Interest of Prophecy in the Several Ages of the World (1725), The Tryal of the Witnesses of the Resurrection of Jesus (1729) and Pastoral Letter (1750).
