Donated to Swem’s Special Collections in 2005, Nancy H. Marshall’s collection of publications of “A Visit from St. Nicholas,” by Clement Clarke Moore, is made up of more than 1,000 volumes collected by the former Dean of William & Mary Libraries. Often referred to by its more popular title, “The Night Before Christmas,” the collection is showcased every year during the holiday season, when the library exhibits selected volumes.
