What does your job entail?
Ordering materials in all formats and languages for the library collections using various websites and vendor systems.
What interests you most about this job?
I have always loved books and I am excited to learn the behind the scenes work that goes into the amazing collections at W&M.
What do you hope to accomplish in your first year?
I hope to learn everything possible and become an asset to the Content Services Department and the SWEM Library.
Tell us a little about your work background:
I have a background in event planning, banking, and logistics. I was recently the temporary event planner for VIMS. I am also a glass artist (specializing in nature engravings), a green artist, and perceptual nature photographer.
What attracted you to W&M?
I have known about W&M and its prestige all my life. Being the single mother of a recent W&M MBA graduate as well as a current MA student at VIMS makes being a part of the college even more special. It has become a part of our family traditions.
What do you like to do in your free time?
When I’m not creating artwork, I enjoy spending time with both of my grown children, hiking nature trails, sightseeing, going to theme parks, and water parks. I was born a coastal Georgia girl, so whenever possible, I love being near the water and experiencing new beaches.
