Library Databases, Datasets and Subscriptions

Our login system has changed! OpenAthens now uses Microsoft's login instead of W&M's Central Authentication Service (CAS). Instead of logging in using just your W&M username, you will need to enter your W&M email address as your username. Learn more about this update.

W&M Libraries subscribes to hundreds of databases which you can search here by database name, subject or type. Finding the right database can help you search for highly relevant journal articles, books, documents and much more.

Additionally, we host several datasets for research and also provide subscriptions to popular newspapers like the Washington Post and Wall Street Journal.

El Imparcial was a conservative, pro-independence tabloid published in San Juan, Puerto Rico starting in 1918. During the first half of the 20th century, it was the most widely read publication in Puerto Rico. El Imparcial is perhaps best known for its reportage on political corruption in Puerto Rico in the 1940s, and for its unique coverage of the Cuban Revolution (1953-1959). The El Imparcial digital archive is a valuable resource for scholars of history, politics, and Latin American Studies.
