Dave Leip's Atlas of US Elections is a data module featured on SimplyAnalytics that makes it easier than ever to conduct rich, multi-dimensional analyses that blend political, social, economic, and behavioral data. Whether you’re studying historical voting patterns, planning outreach strategies, or simply trying to understand the political landscape, this new dataset adds unmatched depth and context to your research. Primary data sources consist of original publications produced by official election agencies within each state (the agencies are generally Secretary of State offices or State Board of Election offices). Some state agencies compile data into annual or biennial publications such as a legislative manual or "Blue Book". Some county-level and state-level data are from these publications. In addition, for a few state/year combinations where Dave Leip has not yet been able to obtain a more primary source of data, he has filled in the holes using Congressional Quarterly's Presidential Elections. One can find this module in the "Data" tab when browsing by "Data Folder"; the module will be listed as "Atlas of U.S. Elections" in the list of data folders. William & Mary's SimplyAnalytics access allows for 5 concurrent users.
