Natasha McFarland Staff Scholarship

William & Mary Libraries is pleased to offer reimbursements to library employees who are interested in or are currently pursuing an ALA-accredited master of Library Science (MLS or MLIS) degree, $1,500 per semester (fall, spring, summer), up to $9,000 total (after taxes). This is made possible by funds from the Natasha McFarland Staff Scholarship.

Requirements for Scholarship Consideration:

  • Full-time staff member of W&M Libraries (both operational and PPF), employed for one full year
  • Applicant should meet with their direct supervisor to confirm they “meet expectations” on yearly review

This scholarship has a rolling application period and is subject to fund availability. Proof of successful completion of each semester is required to receive reimbursement. This can be submitted directly to the Scholarship Committee.
