University Teaching Project

Over the past 20 years William & Mary faculty have made a concerted effort to rethink and renew the curriculum in such a way as to help students move from being passive consumers of knowledge to being active creators of knowledge. The University Teaching & Learning Project complements that effort by helping faculty expand their teaching methods to include techniques that are more in line with our goals for student learning.

W&M Libraries is a partner in the university's efforts to promote and assist with the Teaching & Learning workshops, as well as to establish an integrated Studio for Teaching & Learning. The Studio serves to coordinate existing initiatives devoted to teaching effectiveness while creating new opportunities to ignite and incubate innovative ideas and approaches.
