Tribe Pride: William & Mary Athletics Media Guides from Swem Library allows visitors to experience the history of intercollegiate sports at the College through the athletics publications created to introduce teams and players. The media guides range from mimeograhed booklets in the early 20th century to the sleek publications that journalists and sports fans expect today.
The exhibit showcases the variety of formats produced, such as reversible guides for men's and women's sports, guides doubling as posters, and media guides that resemble the professional magazines currently produced for all teams in a similar style. While not every media guide from each William & Mary sport could be included in the exhibit at W&M Hall, the exhibit presents a representative sample of the guides held by Swem from a range of teams.
