The Earl Gregg Swem Library is pleased to announce the donation of a letter written by Bishop William Meade, Episcopal Bishop of Virginia from 1841 until 1862. The letter was written by Meade to William N. Ward, of Berkley Parish in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, in 1840 and has been added to our William Meade Papers. The letter was donated to the Library by St. Paul’s Church in Norfolk, Virginia, and was presented by Rev. Scott Hennessy and members of the Church.
