What is your position? Library Web Developer
Background? I was born and brought up in Kolkata, India.
Where did you study? I completed my undergraduate degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. I later moved to the United States to pursue my Master’s in Computer Science at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago.
Why William & Mary? I was drawn to William & Mary because of its strong reputation as one of the oldest and most respected public universities in the United States, with a deep commitment to academic excellence and innovation. The opportunity to contribute to the library’s digital presence particularly excited me, as it aligns closely with my interest in building user-friendly, accessible web experiences in an academic environment.
Fun facts: I am a big cricket fan and enjoy following both international matches and IPL seasons. I like exploring different coffee spots and trying new brews wherever I travel. I enjoy fitness and try to stay consistent with gym workouts as a way to balance work and life.
Most frequently checked out library book: I do not currently have a specific favourite I have checked out frequently, but one finance book I would likely revisit is The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham.
Currently listening to: I enjoy a mix of genres depending on my mood. Recently, I have been listening to lofi instrumental playlists while working along with Bollywood classics and occasional indie English music artists like Arijit Singh and Coldplay are often on my playlist.
