APO Time Capsule comes to Special Collections

Published on

At the beginning of May, Special Collections received a time capsule from Alpha Phi Omega’s Nu Rho Chapter. APO is a coed service fraternity dedicated to providing service to William & Mary's campus, the community, and the country. The time capsule includes messages written to future members of APO, photographs, t-shirts, a DVD, family trees, and other memorabilia related to the organization. It will remain closed for five years and is to be reopened by members of APO in 2017.

Lauren Coleman, Executive Vice President for Alpha Phi Omega, presented the time capsule to Ben Bromley, Public Services Archives Specialist and an alumnus of Alpha Phi Omega’s Nu Rho chapter. While we can’t let you see the time capsule (it would spoil the surprise) you can see other hidden treasures of College history right from your seat!
