Give the Gift of Learning

Published on

As the year comes to a close and you consider year-end gifts, please think of Earl Gregg Swem Library at William & Mary.

At the heart of any great university is its library. Swem Library is proud to be part of William & Mary, which has an extraordinary blend of world-class research, vibrant campus life and engaged learning. The library plays an integral role at the College, serving as a central hub of research and academic study on campus.

“As a student, Swem quickly became my go-to place to get work done – and today, as a law student, that still rings true,” said D. Scott Foster Jr. ’10, J.D. ’14. “The place that inspired me as a freshman to try to learn everything possible is the place, I now realize, where you can follow a dream or a passion and make it a reality.”

By making an investment in Swem and our programs, you assist our staff in maintaining an extraordinary level of excellence. Your contribution helps the library provide an incredible array of resources, including collections, online journal subscriptions and unique William & Mary treasures like the Media Center and the Special Collections Research Center.

“I think that the combination of exceptional resources and the feeling that Swem is a place where we can study and work collaboratively really makes Swem what it is and makes it so appealing for the student body in general,” said Karthik Ilakkuvan ’13.

A great library, according to Karthik, is essential for a university of William & Mary’s caliber. Our supporters enable Swem Library to be outstanding, and help make an exceptional library even better.
