Looking to meet more music? Check out a “blind date” at the Swem Music Library this month! Listen to a mystery CD of your choice and rate it for a chance to win a $25 gift card.
“This is a fun way for students to explore our audio collections while trying something new,” said Arts Librarian Kathleen DeLaurenti.
At the Music Library, located in Ewell Hall, you’ll find more than 80 gift wrapped CDs on display, each one “seeking” people interested in their genre. Whether you’re in the mood for modern musicals, jazz or medieval chant, you’ll find your match!
Once you’ve selected your blind date, unwrap your CD and listen to what you’ve chosen. Fill out the two-question “rate your date” card inside, return it to the music library and you’ll be entered to win a $25 gift card to Chipotle or Amazon!
The drawing is only open to W&M students, but anyone can get in on the fun and check out a blind date. You may even meet a musical genre you never knew you liked! Hurry, more than 1/3 of the blind dates were snatched up on the first day!
