Colonial Echo yearbook, 1970

Traditions Weekend brings together our most loyal groups to celebrate the legacy of William & Mary in our lives and build on our traditions and shared experiences as we look toward the future. In spring 2022, we will celebrate three 50th Reunion classes — the Class of 1970, the Class of 1971 and the Class of 1972 — as well as the Olde Guarde of their Majesties’ Royal Colledge in Virginia and the Honorable Robert Boyle Legacy Society.

The Olde Guarde consists of all members of the William & Mary Alumni Association whose class graduated 50 years ago or more. Paying tribute to Robert Boyle, the father of modern chemistry and one of the pioneers of the modern experimental scientific method, William & Mary established the Honorable Robert Boyle Legacy Society in 1992 to recognize alumni, parents and friends who have provided for the university in their estate plans.

This exhibit highlights archival materials and publications created and kept by members of the Classes of 1970, 1971, and 1972. Join the Special Collections Research Center for an Open House on Friday April 22 from 2:30-4:30pm to see more!
