Below are a few new items that students and faculty may find very useful:

  • Hoovers Online - This database includes company profiles, lists of competitors, key people, comparison data, detailed annual and quarterly financials, market data and more. Access it through our database list; an entry in the catalog is coming shortly. Campus-wide access is provided by the Business Library.
  • The Papers of Eliza Lucas Pinckney and Harriott Pinckney Horry - one of the newer additions to the Rotunda Collection, from University of Virginia Press. The papers of Eliza Lucas Pinckney (1722-1793) and her daughter Harriott Pinckney Horry (1748-1830) document the lives of two observant and articulate founding-era women who were members of one of South Carolina's leading families. Their letters, diaries, and other documents span nearly a century (1739-1830) and provide a window on politics, social events and people of the late colonial and early national periods. Access this collection via the catalog.
  • Statista - A portal which offers statistical data on a global scale, including data from market sources, government databases, trade organizations, and the scientific press. Find information on more than 600 industries from over 10,000 different sources. You can find Statista in our catalog and database list.
  • Economist Online - One of the major news magazines, focusing on international politics and business news and opinion. Find the entry in our database list, as well as our catalog.
