William & Mary Libraries is adding a new space with outdoor enthusiasts in mind. The Libraries announced it will begin constructing a patio outside of Swem in summer 2021.

The community’s pandemic reflections will be on display in an exciting collaborative exhibition, Our Town: Williamsburg 2020 Community Art Project, made possible by a partnership between the Williamsburg Regional Library, William & Mary Libraries, Muscarelle Museum of Art, and local arts organization CultureFix VA.

As the fall semester grows close, staff members at William & Mary Libraries feel prepared to safely reopen and operate through the uncharted waters of a pandemic. Swem Library will open to students, faculty and staff for limited hours starting August 10th, and will require visitors to show a current W&M ID at the entrance.
