The McLeod Business Library at The Mason School of Business

The McLeod Business Library in Miller Hall is a multi-purpose state-of-the-art information center that serves the research, study, and everyday curricular needs of the students, faculty, staff, and business community. Using the latest database research tools it provides a unique opportunity for students and faculty to perform in practical or “real world” situations to enhance their perceptions of the business world. Tom Marini, Associate Director, is available to assist faculty and students with one-on-one instruction or group/class trainings.
The resources available at McLeod include a selected reference collection, a preferred periodicals section, and business reference materials in both print and electronic format. There are laptop workstations with wireless connectivity, so patrons may access the networked databases and internet on their personal computers. The library training room is equipped with monitors that have the capability to hook up to personal computers as well as a projector screen and podium that enhances any training session or group meeting.
Patrons have access to over 32 databases, and two Bloomberg terminals. Research guides are available in the library and online, with specific reference to the areas of Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Global Business, Marketing, and Management. Additional business-research databases are provided through the Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA) and the Earl Gregg Swem Library.
