Name: Carol Oordt

Year: Graduate Student

Pronouns: she/her

Department/Position: RFID Interns

What do you think about the RFID project?

I think it’ll be a great system that will make it easier for both patrons to check out materials and library staff to manage and organize the books.

Describe what it has been like to be a part of the RFID team.

The RFID team is great and fun to work with. The tagging can be tedious at times but the team makes the day go quickly.

What has been your favorite experience with the RFID team so far?

I really like putting the stickers into books.

What is the most interesting new thing you’ve learned about the library?

I learned that Special Collections has a letter from George Washington in which he wrote that William and Mary is basically a party school (I stand by that statement).

What is your favorite part about working at the library?

My favorite part of working in the library is checking in books. The machine makes a great beeping noise and it's very calming.

Do you have any fun plans for the summer?

I’m learning to cook.
