Must Love Dogs: Cecil Aldin
Posted on March 28, 2018
Cecil Aldin (1870-1935) was a British artist and illustrator, famous for his portrayal of dogs.
The Chapin-Horowtiz Dog Book Collection holds 56 books authored and/or illustrated by Aldin. Titles include Aldin’s How to Draw Dogs (Chapin-Horowitz NC780 .A45), Field Babies (Chapin-Horowitz PZ10.3 .A363 Fi), and The Romance of the Road (Chapin-Horowitz DA600 .A63 1928). A number of his books are specific to the lives of fictional puppies as the subject matter, likely a favorite subject of his.
