The Music Library provides guides for specific classes, as well as an introduction on how to find resources for your class using the Libraries' collections and databases.
Music Library Search
The Music Library provides an array of resources available for research and coursework such as musical scores, recordings, and books. We also subscribe to a number of databases that include thousands of journals, e-books, videos and audio recordings, and more. You can find these materials by searching the library catalog.

Browse articles or narrow in on a research topic by starting your search in one of our databases.
Click & Collect
You can request items through the library catalog and pick them up at the Music Library. To promote social distancing, please schedule a pick-up time before coming to the library.
Copyright-friendly resources
Working on a project that requires audio or video from media that you did not create? Make sure you have permission to use that media and are not infringing on the copyright of the producer of the original material. One way to do this is to use resources that are in the public domain, are royalty-free, or have a Creative Commons license. Our guides below provide some starting points:
