Last year when I wrote about Santa stereoviews, I stated that I did not know of any stereoviews that depicted reindeer. Now, I stand corrected.
During final exams, Swem Library will extend its building hours. The building will be open until 2 am on Dec. 11-15 and 18-20. Swem will reduce its hours to 8 am - 12 pm on Dec. 21 before closing from Dec. 22-Jan. 2 for winter break. For more details, view our hours.

W&M Libraries is accepting submissions for the 2023 Undergraduate Research Awards. Prizes will be given to the students whose papers best illustrate exemplary use of W&M Libraries tools and resources, and the development of information-gathering skills. Submit by February 3.

Although National Thanksgivings were periodically proclaimed from Colonial times in America, Thanksgiving as a Holiday was not formally adopted until Abraham Lincoln declared a day of Thanksgiving in 1863.
Swem Library will be closed November 20-26 in recognition of Thanksgiving week. The building will return to standard hours on Sunday, Nov. 27. Will you still need a librarian during this time? You can utilize our 24-hour chat. Happy Thanksgiving! We look forward to seeing you when we return.
