The Swem Library Book Group will host a discussion on The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks on Sunday, November 13, at Swem. Our discussion will be led by Dr. Jody Allen, coordinator of the Lemon Project, and Dr. Paul D. Heideman, professor of biology at W&M. Dr. Allen will provide the historical context for the time in which Mrs. Lacks lived, and Dr. Heideman will talk about the science behind what happened with her cells.
