New Coffee Shop is Open in Swem

Greenberry's Coffee Co. opened its first Williamsburg location on Monday, Oct. 8 in the Mews Cafe in Swem Library.

The grand opening festivities were held on Oct. 8. There were free samples of coffee and pastries, giveaways, a student raffle of $100 Dining Dollars and more.

Ian Hage was the first person in line and received free brewed coffee for the entire semester! The first 100 people in line got a free medium brewed coffee that day.

"This is an exciting addition to campus. After listening to what the students wanted from a coffeehouse, we feel Greenberry's will be able to deliver a high quality menu using locally-sourced, sustainable ingredients," said Matt Moss, director of dining.

The cafe features artisan-roasted coffee, premium teas from around the world and fresh smoothies, as well as bread and pastries baked daily by William & Mary's own pastry chef, Dominique Lewis.

Additional menu items include gourmet soups, salads and sandwiches created to reflect the warm and inviting atmosphere.

"The College of William & Mary is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase what we do best: quality coffee, inviting atmosphere, and a commitment to local flavor. We look forward to becoming a part of the Tribe tradition, whether it is before an 8 a.m. class or during an 11 p.m. study break," said Greenberry's President Sean Simmons.

Greenberry's accepts W&M Express, Dining Dollars, cash and all major credit cards.
