Last week Sumié Yotsukura ‘22 and Brian Zhao ’23 celebrated the installation of the exhibit, “Pu Kao Chen: Thoughts of 1923 U.S. & W&M,” at Swem Library. The exhibit was the culmination of their research project to unearth the stories of the first Asian students to attend W&M.

The Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA) is providing an unlimited Read-and-Publish transformative agreement with Rockefeller University Press that adds new journals to its electronic resources.

Randy Chambers, the director of William & Mary's Keck Environmental Field Laboratory, is leading a team that's trying to find a way to keep turtles out of crab traps. With the help of Swem Library's Makerspace, the team created devices to use to decrease turtles' ability to access the traps. 

Sexual harassment is far more frequent in academic libraries than previously assumed, according to a first-of-its-kind survey published in College & Research Libraries.

Adrienne Petty, associate professor of history at W&M, was awarded in May with a 2021 Faculty Innovations in Pedagogy and Teaching Fellowship, presented by The HistoryMakers, the nation’s largest African American video oral history archive.
